Casa De Orio is built upon an enduring appreciation of cuisine, craftsmanship, and culture.
It is not, however, about appreciating beauty from afar —we invite it in, set the table and let it linger. Beauty serves as a guiding principle that influences every aspect of our lives (and often leads us to a well-crafted cocktail in a luxurious locale). We don’t seek perfection, we embrace beauty’s power to press pause and place us firmly in the present. In reaching beyond the surface we nurture our connection to the world and learn to savor life’s most delicious moments.
Here nourishment goes beyond mere sustenance and becomes a ritual of discovery and connection to be celebrated.
Whether it’s a shared meal, the simple elegance of a well-designed object, a wellness tip or a transformative trip, we believe that the extraordinary can be found within the ordinary.
Through our insights into dining, design, and the pursuit of la dolce vita, we share our curated discoveries of beauty and wonder (be it a moment, meal or mindset) and seek to cultivate a life where pleasure is as important as productivity.
The name Casa De Orio evokes the importance of the casa, or home, in Italian culture. Often passed down through generations, they are filled with objects that hold personal meaning, and a sense of la storia, or history — a balance of who we were, are and strive to be. These stories imbue each place with warmth and reflect a deep respect for heritage and artisanship. Within our homes, hospitality becomes the ultimate expression of love and care — for ourselves, our loved ones and the things with which we surround ourselves.
What speaks to us reveals itself within the daily details of our lives:
a meal lovingly prepared, a sartorial selection, or an appetite-opening aperitivo. It is a place that invites conversation and connection. And yet the concept of home transcends the physical, it is where we feel understood, nourished and an essence of belonging. It is where beauty is both created and appreciated, and where we seek shelter as well as a sanctuary, wherever in the world we may find ourselves.
